In a dystopic world full of pollution and faulty machines, government cog Sam Lowry (Jonathan Pryce) finds solace in daydreams of himself as a mythic hero saving a damsel in distress. A fatal clerical error leads him to Jill (Kim Greist), who looks just like the woman in his fantasy, as well as rogue heating engineer Tuttle (Robert De Niro), as Sam finds himself targeted by the labyrinthine and oppressive bureaucracy he once served. An Oscar-nominated satire, Brazil is a cult classic known for its influential ideas and aesthetics.
