Facilitated by: Mariam WalijiIn this reflective session, early childhood educators will explore the concept of Brave Spaces—what they are, why they matter, how they can be nurtured, and where accountability shows up in creating these spaces. We will discuss the difference between safe and brave spaces, the role of discomfort in growth, and the foundational elements needed to foster open, respectful, and courageous interactions. Through level-setting and dialogue, participants will deepen their understanding of how brave spaces encourage curiosity, and lay the groundwork for meaningful conversations to support building equitable spaces of belonging.
