EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Brass Rubbings is an educational program that conjures up knights in armor, grand ladies, dragons…and more. In Europe, the Middle Ages (otherwise known as the Medieval period) lasted from the 5th to the 15th century. It began with the collapse of the Western Roman Empire and resulted in the merging of the Renaissance and Age of Discovery periods. Educators provide an interesting combination of history, folklore and art using one of the largest collections of monumental brass facsimiles in North America.
During your visit, you will be able to choose from more than 100 reproduction-engraved plates of brass to do a rubbing. A trained instructor will provide you with a rag paper, metallic waxes, and instructions to create your very own rubbing masterpiece.

*🡺NO-SHOWS: If you make a reservation and then do not attend a field trip it means that we still had to pay for your
spot, another family who wanted to come was denied the opportunity to attend and we may be “banned” from future
attendance by the provider.
*🡺A “habitual field trip truant” may lose field trip privileges for their family.
🡺LATE-SHOWS: Many of our field trips are very time sensitive and if you are late, we will make every effort to get you in. In some cases, if you are not there when we pay for the program we may not pay for your reservation which of course could determine if you get in or not. When an event is filled to capacity it can be difficult to get extra tickets. So please, allow plenty of time for traffic when planning your trip time.
