KMH's Stora Brass under the direction of Andreas Hanson presents, with the help of our percussion colleagues, a concert with some of the classics for brass. Tomasi's Fanfare Liturgiques shows modern brass in all its glory with four fanfares that include the Horsemen of the Apocalypse and a Holy Day Procession.
Fanfares also feature in two pieces by American composer and Pulitzer Prize winner John Corigliano.
Brass music has a great connection to the timbre of the organ and with JS Bach's epic Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, the brass ensemble has the perfect piece to showcase its best timbres.
