Gala Concert with finalists: 7.30pm
Elland Silver Band present Brass Band Classics. An exciting evening of nostalgic brass band music for all the family.
This gala concert is also the culmination of the Brass Band Conductors’ Association Conducting Competition, which will have been taking place throughout the day in Halifax Minster. Elland Silver Band’s conductor Dave McGlynn will share the podium with 5 finalists who will each conduct Elland Silver Band in one of their concert items. Whilst the band entertains us the adjudicators will select the winners who will be announced and presented with their prizes at the close of the concert.
Tickets for the Gala Concert, priced at £10 are available HERE and the Minster shop, open daily 12-4pm. Under 16s free. Doors open 7pm with pop-up bar and raffle. Seating is unreserved. Book now!
The day will provide a great opportunity for conductors, and would-be conductors to speak to representatives and members of the Brass Band Conductors' Association and find out more about what it has to offer. For more information email [email protected]
