Brandi Waller-Pace is a Fort Worth-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, educator, and scholar/activist. Trained as a jazz musician at Howard University, she performs a range of styles including jazz, neo-soul, American roots music, and genre-crossing originals. She has since graced an array of stages in Texas and around the country. She has co-produced, curated artist lineups for, and performed in events with Bluegrass Pride, The Bluegrass Situation, and PineCone, the Piedmont Council of Traditional Music. She is the Founder/Executive Director of the music education nonprofit Decolonizing the Music room, and Creator/Organizer of the Fort Worth African American Roots Music Festival, created to highlight blackness in American roots music.
Guitarist Marcelo Berestovoy is an independent artist, musician, and music educator with a rich musical history that includes a long list of recording credits, international touring and writing with some of the biggest names in Latin music and Hollywood films. Born and raised in Argentina, Marcelo was exposed to different styles of music from an early age and started with the guitar at age 11, becoming a full time music student by the age of 15 in Buenos Aires where he started performing and teaching before moving to Los Angeles to further his music studies. Marcelo is currently living in Dallas, Texas where he performs regularly leading his band.
Together, Brandi and Marcelo have performed around the metroplex at events such as the Django Reinhardt Festival and Arts Goggle. Their acoustic sets feature a range of styles from jazz and Brazilian bossa nova to enchanting covers of popular tunes.
