Beginner-friendly weaving workshop using a branch as a handmade loom--for teens & adults! Ages 12+1-day class: Monday, July 22, 6:00 - 9:00pm. $55.

Learn relaxing weaving techniques using a hand-notched forked branch as your loom! This workshop is great for beginners, and all levels, especially those that think they are not creative. You can DO this! Bring a friend, or meet new ones while you create a lovely wall hanging. Choose your own color palette from a large assortment of fibers. The design is up to you, with lots of guidance from experienced teacher and artist, Barbara Balkin.
All materials are provided, however, bringing any objects or fibers of your own will enhance your art (lace, yarns, feathers, grasses, flowers with stems, beads, etc.). If you've attended Barbara's Weaving workshops before, you'll learn new techniques each time. Lots of individual attention in this fun class. You'll never look at branches the same way again... find yourself 'branching out' with creative ideas! Weaving is wonderfully relaxing!
All supplies provided. Just show up and create!
Optional items to bring:
- Fibers or objects of your choice that you might want to incorporate in your design
- Layered clothing, as the temperatures may fluctuate in our large building
- Bottled water/beverage
