About this Event

On Sunday afternoon, 7 June, between 14h and 15:30h, we will talk about the high-tech industry in Brainport area, their collaboration with the Israeli military-industrial complex, and the broader complicity of the Dutch tech sector in colonial extraction methods and the on-going genocides across the globe:

The event will start with an informative introduction, followed by a panel discussion. During the event, there will be ample time to share your insights and ask questions (the second 45 minutes are open to the public). The event will be in English, but the audience is invited to express their thoughts in Dutch (or in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, German, Russian, Farsi…).

The series of conversations ‘Accountability without borders’ aims to create room for coping with the despair around the growing imperialism in the world, with the impunity of countries like Israel and the United States, and how this connects to our daily life, including right-wing populism, militarisation of the industry and of education, state surveillance, war mongering, climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss. Code of conduct

We focus on policies, not on individuals, and we oppose all forms of oppression, like discrimination on political ideas, religious convictions and on the appearance of people: we reject anti-Semitism, anti-Palestinian racism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and any ideology based on supposed superiority.

Accountability without borders is an anti-imperialist, anti-fascist and anti-militarist platform. The moderators will intervene upon authoritarian, casteist, racist, classist, patriarchal, colonial, or otherwise problematic statements.
