Please let me know if you can play golf The Gravel Pit on Tuesday, August 18th. First tee time will be at 9:45. We will have half the people on the front, and the other half on the back. Play as many people as you'd like up to 6 in scramble format.
Low key, just a fun group of people enjoying a nice day in the Brainerd lakes area. I will have some handouts but this is not a tournament that is worth pencil whipping for a better score than you actually shot. Come out, have fun.
Update on venue- The place we played at last year wasn't being accommodating so I made some calls and found a place that should suit our needs. The Gravel Pit is a cool looking place that's close to the track and willing to work with us. It is a par 3, with holes varying from 60 to 220 yards, but everyone I've talked to said it was a blast. There are 10.5 holes on one side (one of them is a tee off with a putter and let it roll down a big hill) and 13 on the other. They have a small kitchen with pulled pork, dogs, brats, etc for the turn, and a full service bar with cart service on the course. They are fine with us playing up to 6 players on a team. After there is a large patio that overlooks the course for us to hang out at. The rate for the 23 holes riding is $80, which is less expensive than last years course.
