ABOUT THE COURSE

The Brain Medicine Neuroanatomy & Radiology Course provides an introduction to clinically relevant neuroanatomy through a combination of self-paced virtual learning, interactive case-based discussions, and a live brain dissection experience.

Designed for clinicians and trainees working in brain-based disciplines, the course explores anatomy through the lens of Brain Medicine, emphasizing how neural systems contribute to the six core domains of:

  • Affect
  • Behaviour
  • Cognition
  • Movement
  • Perception
  • Arousal

CPD ACCREDITED

The Brain Medicine Neuroanatomy Course has been accredited by the University of Toronto Office of Continuing Professional Development. Participants may claim up to 20.0 Royal College MOC Section 1 hours.

COURSE CURRICULUM

Self-Paced Virtual Modules

  • Introduction: Foundations of Brain Medicine; Basics of Neuroradiology; Approach to Brain Biopsy
  • Week 1: Cortical Anatomy and Cerebral Vasculature
  • Week 2: White Matter and Neural Tracts
  • Week 3: Basal Ganglia, Cerebellum, and Brainstem
  • Week 4: Limbic System, Thalamus, and Reticular Activating System

Registration Fees

Trainees: $250 CAD

Staff/Practicing Professionals: $750 CAD

Virtual Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Package: $150 CAD

Please note that the virtual registration option does not include the in-person anatomy sessions or live brain dissection components.
