About this Event

Don't miss your chance to hear Nutrition Therapy Practitioner Shane Brill give his talk "Brain Food for Kids: Enhancing the Gut-Brain Connection to Support Mood, Learning and Attention" and participate in his hands-on fermentation fundamentals workshop.

This talk will cover the way food impacts the health of our bodies, including how diet affects mood, behavior, attention and learning in children. Learn to spot mental and physical symptoms in children that may be connected to food sensitivities, intolerances and gut imbalances. Find out which foods often negatively impact gut health and overall wellbeing in children as well as the foods which promote healing and resilience in the body.

This free workshop at Radcliffe Creek School (RCS) in Chestertown, Maryland, is hosted by RCS' Parent-Teacher Committee. The event will include a meal from Modern Stone Age Kitchen, as well as a starter kit for making your own kefir (a fermented drink) for your family at home. Space is limited to twenty participants, so register early to reserve your seat! Registration is required.

RCS wishes to thank the Robert F. Schumann Foundation for sponsoring this event, which is brought to our community through Radcliffe Creek School's Initiative.
