Post-quarantine, are you wondering what your children lost by being out of school? How to support them in the transition back? How to help them deal with fears and anxiety? In this presentation, Dr. Crystal Collier, author of The NeuroWhereAbouts Guide, will help parents understand their child’s neurodevelopmental stage and focus on executive function skills acquisition to build resilience, face difficulties head-on, and successfully transition.

Crystal Collier, PhD, LPC-S, Therapist, Educator, BrainAbouts Program Director, Former Hope and Healing Center & Institute Murphy-Petersen Behavioral Health Fellow, Author of The NeuroWhereAbouts Guide: A Neurodevelopmental Guide for Parents and Families Who Want to Prevent Youth High-Risk Behavior
Former HHCI Murphy-Petersen Behavioral Health Fellow, Crystal Collier, PhD, herself a person in long-term recovery, is a therapist and educator who has been working with adolescents and adults suffering from mental illness, behavioral problems and substance use disorders since 1991. Her area of expertise includes adolescent brain development, prevention programming, parent coaching, addiction, family-of-origin work, and training new clinicians. In 2019, the Houston Counseling Association named her ‘Counselor of the Year’. She possesses a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and a doctorate in Counselor Education. She is currently the Program Director for BrainAbouts.
