On Saturday, October 16 at 9am, City of Bradenton Mayor Gene Brown will present the proclamation at a press conference at the courthouse at 1101 6th Ave. W. in downtown Bradenton. A walk will follow with other organizations in attendance: Bradenton Police Department, Division of Blind Services, Southeastern Guide Dogs, Bradenton & Palmetto Lions clubs and Manatee County Council on the Blind. Lighthouse will have a table at the nearby farmers market to raise awareness after the walk. Lunch at Mattison's to follow at noon.
