Brackish Waters Book Launch

Please join us as we gather on the Eastern side of Saysutshun, overlooking the Salish Sea, to celebrate the launch of our new publication Brackish Waters. Xulsi’malt Gary Manson, Jesse Birch, Masako Fukawa, Dawn Johnson, and Willie Thrasher and Linda Saddleback, will share aspects of our cultural and ecological connections to the ocean through story and song.

Books from Nanaimo Art Gallery’s resource trilogy (Black Diamond Dust, The Mill, and Brackish Waters) and Masako Fukawa’s new book Stories of Nikkei Canadians: Resilience in Struggle will be available for purchase during the book launch. Brackish waters is also available for purchase by calling or visiting in-person at the Gallery Store.
