BPSB - Student Friendly Writing Rubrics (Grades 3-5)
About this Event
This session is for new and returning 3rd-5th Grade ELA teachers that want support in exploring how to create and use student-friendly writing rubrics to support writing instruction. Participants will learn how to break down LDOE ELA rubric language into clear, student-friendly expectations that help students better understand what strong writing includes. Teachers will also discuss ways to introduce rubrics during instruction and use them to guide student self-reflection. This session will provide practical strategies for making writing expectations clear and helping students take ownership of their growth as writers.
