It’s Boxing Day. You might already be feeling a bit boxed in, a bit tired after the day before, or maybe Christmas was low-key and you just fancy getting out for some fresh air.This 2.5-3 hours walk will start at the bottom of the Sugar Loaf. We’ll make our way up through St Mary’s Vale Wood, then loop back down through the valley on the opposite side.
The Sugar Loaf is a favourite of mine. There are loads of routes to the top and around it — and while many people have done it before, I know plenty who want to but aren’t sure where to go. This walk is perfect if that’s you.
Come on your own, bring the dog, bring a friend, partner or family member — it’s open to anyone. We’ll take our time, enjoy the walk, and hopefully get a dry day to blow away the Christmas cobwebs.
If the weather really takes a turn for the worse, I may have to cancel, but until then I’d love to see a few of you join me and still be back in time to relax for the rest of Boxing Day.
