boxboys is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist / producer alex cavoli. it's intimate, home-made music that sounds like the camera roll from an old phone. inspired by artists like Kishi Bashi and Fred Again.., boxboys sets blend instrumental and electronic performance, using a live-looping setup to combine guitar, synth, drums, and vocals into original compositions. the project shifts between genres: emo, folk, and indie songwriting styles are paired with jungle, house and electronic sound palettes and unified by a diy production approach. based in northern california. lots of love to share. Plus an art market with local artists tabling alongside the show.
