Bows, Strings & Contentment Orchestra will present a concert titled “Nordic Music” at the Grand Event Center in Northfield on Sunday, June 14th, 2026. Musical selections from Scandinavia will vary from a medley of ABBA tunes and a Danish composition entitled “Five Sheep, Four Goats to “Impromptu Op. 5”, by Jean Sibelius. Violinist Sara Lynnore will play a solo piece on hardingfele (hardanger fiddle) and Kate Stuart will perform a folk dance. The orchestra’s conductor is Laura Geissler and musical arrangements are by Laurie Stegner.
Doors open for dinner at 5:00pm and music begins at 6:00pm. Dinner will be available from 5:00 – 7:00pm. This event is free to all and family-friendly. Contributions are greatly appreciated.
