Whoop Whoop!We are pleased to invite you to our April 2025 Bournemouth Blues Retreat!
These Bournemouth Blues Retreats just keep getting better and better! Time spent enjoying delicious dancing with wonderful, like-minded souls, in a fabulous setting - right by the beach... what's not to love!!
This is not a mass market event. It is intimate, sociable and offers an opportunity to really get to know your fellow dancers and create meaningful, lasting friendships built on a love of BluesFusion dancing.
The Hotel Collingwood lends itself perfectly to this event – and from the very first moment we arrive, everyone makes us all feel that we are very much at home!
And to ensure that the weekend starts in the right way - we always ensure that you have a nice little welcome pack for you when you arrive.
This boutique hotel is only a 3-minute walk from the beach and has a fantastic basement ballroom!
There is also a small indoor pool, a hot tub, a steam room, a sauna and a fitness centre. All Blues Retreat guests receive a 10% discount on Eden Spa treatments.
The hotel is on 3 floors, and has a lovely bar and restaurant. There is also on-site parking which the hotel will be offering us for free (rather than the £10 a night usual charge)
Obviously there are a limited number of rooms, with only a very small number of singles. There are twins, doubles and family rooms so the majority of bookings will need to be on a shared basis. Most rooms are upgraded signature rooms and there is a small extra surcharge for these.
There will be our signature Black Tie Gala Dinner on the Saturday evening! And the opportunity to win a bottle of prosecco in our very posh sit-down bingo game.
As always there will be a beach photoshoot – and despite the awful weather generally at the last event, we maintain our unbeaten track record of never having a photoshoot rained off!
There will be day time workshops for those who want them – and much to see and do in Bournemouth for those who prefer to get out and about.
The 2 night stay programme (in brief) will be:
Friday arrival from 4pm
Meet & Greet in the bar from 4:30pm

Dancing from 8pm until 2am

Basic prices as follows (signature rooms incur a supplement of £15 per room, per night, which will need to be added to the basic price)
2-night stay – £285 per person (to include dinner (Fri), bed, breakfast, Black Tie Gala Dinner (Sat), Sunday lunch, all classes and freestyle dancing until 5pm Sunday)
There is the option to stay for a 3rd night (Sunday)
and join us for dinner, Mummy Wendy's quiz and a laidback, more intimate evening of mellow, chilled out freestyle until midnight.
Optional 3rd night (Sun) – £85 (+any previous room supplements)
Bookings (once confirmed) will require a non-refundable deposit of £50 (if you are placed on the waiting list and your booking is unsuccessful, your deposit will, of course, be returned)

Every attempt is made to balance the event to within reasonable margins, and within the scope of the rooms available to us – this does mean that ladies places are invariably sold out quickly and with all 3 single rooms have already been taken, so there are now only twin rooms or doubles.
