About this Event

For centuries, the language of flowers has been an expression of often unspeakable grief. And modern studies have shown that working with plants can have therapeutic effects that promote emotional wellbeing. Join us as we learn the basic principles of arranging a bouquet while exploring the role flowers and plants have played in healing, grieving, and memorialization. While we can’t guarantee your bouquet may not turn out perfectly, we’ll provide you with the tools to navigate your grief as well as the materials to create something that aids in your healing process.

All workshop materials will be provided and are sourced from our friends at Shannon Florist and the grounds of Green-Wood. Proceeds of ticket sales go directly toward material costs.

Please note that if only 1 ticket shows as available during the purchase process that is the last ticket available.

Before Purchasing Your Ticket, Please Note:

  • Attendees must follow ALL instructions and guidance from Cemetery staff and ambassadors.
  • Tickets: There is no need to print tickets! Attendees will be checked in by name.
  • Where To Go: Contactless check-in will take place at the main entrance at 500 25th Street. A Green-Wood Ambassador will be at the gate for check-in and guide you to the workshop area near that entrance. We will be indoors, but in an open garage.
