This interactive workshop engages participants in guided scenarios designed to strengthen boundary-setting skills in professional practice. Whether serving as a social worker, nurse, teacher, case manager, peer specialist, or other helping professional, establishing and maintaining appropriate boundaries is essential to building productive, ethical, and effective relationships.
Participants will work collaboratively through realistic and challenging situations, exploring practical strategies for communicating roles, responsibilities, and limitations. Through discussion and application, attendees will increase their confidence in navigating complex boundary-related situations and returning to their roles with enhanced communication and decision-making skills.
As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Apply effective boundary-setting techniques in real-world professional situations.
- Identify the benefits and potential risks associated with maintaining or failing to maintain professional boundaries.
- Demonstrate appropriate responses to challenging scenarios where boundary application is critical to client outcomes.
- Compare different perspectives and approaches to establishing and maintaining professional boundaries.
