Come and watch a bird ringing session at Bough Beech reservoir. This session is open to all but numbers must be limited, so please pre-book on our website. Please note that only the trained volunteers will handle the birds.
Ringing birds has been a practice in Britain and Ireland for over 100 years. It has enabled us to discover new information about bird migration routes and wintering areas, and the main focus of The Ringing Scheme today is to monitor bird populations.
