Bottle RocketsGlasgow-based indie four-piece Bottle Rockets are stepping into a new era with their debut EP father’s daughter. The lead single and title track drops on 6th March, ahead of the full EP release in May. Blending Scottish alt-pop, hazy shoegaze textures, and cinematic indie rock, the band are known for emotionally charged songwriting, soaring hooks, and dynamic live performances.
Comprised of Kenzi Murray (vocals), John Tamburrini (guitar), Andrew Cummings (bass), and Sam Rae (drums), Bottle Rockets have built momentum across the UK, winning BBC Introducing’s Scottish Act of the Year 2024 and Best Alt/Rock at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards 2023.
Their live highlights include sold-out shows at Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, and appearances at TRNSMT, Belladrum, Tenement Trail, Reading & Leeds Festival, and Spain’s Fira Trovam. With editorial playlist support and airplay from BBC Introducing Scotland, BBC Radio 1, and Amazing Radio UK & US, the band now reach 20,000+ monthly Spotify listeners and 2,000+ followers.
The lead single father’s daughter marked a creative turning point — the first song in six months that fully captured the band’s new direction. With a heavy, hook-driven chorus and driving verses, it balances cinematic scale with intimate vulnerability, showcasing the band’s most mature songwriting to date. Across four tracks, the EP explores identity, expectation, intimacy, and the tension between who you were and who you’re becoming. Produced by Jamie Holmes and mastered by Robin Sutherland, it represents a confident step forward. A second single follows in April, building momentum toward the full EP release in May
