About this Event
Come search for a variety of plants at the Atascadero Lake Park! Please bring your plant identification books and keys! By discussing and identifying plants, paying close attention to their shape and growth habits students will gain a better understanding of the life cycle, the structure and function of plants and the importance of certain traits existing in different varieties of plants.
We encourage you to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value.
Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration.
**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**
May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE!
Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome.
Check-in Procedures: Please meet me at the white gazebo to the left of the Pavilion on the Lake.
Is there on-site parking available? Park either at the 9305 Pismo Ave parking lot address, or there is an entrance with parking on Morro Rd (Hwy 41).
Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Families are welcome to bring their own snacks.
Please do not bring food that contains peanuts to any Heartland event.
