Stroll through Sunken Gardens with Brett Cypress, botanist & plant explorer, while he dazzles you with interesting & awe-inspiring facts about many of the incredible plants growing in the garden.
This walking tour is perfect for people of all experience levels- whether you just appreciate pretty plants or are a fellow botanist, everyone who attends is guaranteed to leave feeling amazed with the beauty & wonder of these living creatures from around the world!
Please Note: Walking Tour may go until 12pm (total 1.5hours) depending on attendee questions & pacing.
*This tour has a maximum capacity of 15 people & is exclusive for ticketed attendees- garden guests without a ticket will not be allowed in the tour group
Brett Cypress is a Botanist, Horticulturist & owner of a local plant business, Cypress Grove Exotics, which specializes in Mounted Plant Plaques, Custom Terrariums & Exotic Plant Specimens. Brett’s passion for plants has brought him around the world- exploring the orchids of the Inca Trail in Peru, trekking to see the tallest palm trees in the world in Colombia, discovering a new distribution of a flower in Madagascar, and much more! He is also an experienced plant breeder, creating brand-new Philodendron hybrids such as ‘Ruckus’ & ‘Trouble Tonight’. Brett is thrilled to be bringing his expertise & enthusiasm to Sunken Gardens & the St. Petersburg area at large!
