In this immersive workshop, you'll delve into the vibrant world of botanical dyeing, an art form that beautifully merges nature with textile design. You'll use natural dyes extracted from plants, fruits, and flowers to transform a white 100% Cotton Turkish Beach Towel into a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art! The Plant Ecologist will guide you through the process, from preparing your dyes to mastering various folding and binding techniques that create different patterns.

• An introduction to the basics of botanical dyeing, including the preparation of natural dyes.
• All materials needed to dye one 100% Cotton Turkish Beach Towel (3ft x 5ft)
• A selection of natural dyes and guidance on how to apply them to fabric for stunning effects.

With a passion for plant biology, Gabriella de Souza is an expert in the field. Her qualifications include a Master of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where her research focused on cacao agroforestry and the ecophysiology of chocolate trees. Gabriella's extensive knowledge of plant physiology and ecology is evident in her work, which explores the growth, development, and environmental interactions of plants.
