This hands-on workshop allows participants to create detailed, one-of-a-kind botanical prints using direct contact printmaking.
About this Event

Working with leaves, flowers, and other plant materials, participants will apply ink directly to their surfaces and press them onto paper to capture their unique shapes, textures, and intricate details. The process is simple, tactile, and deeply connected to observation. As participants experiment with different plants, ink applications, and layering techniques, they will discover how subtle variations can produce a wide range of expressive results. The workshop encourages slowing down and engaging closely with natural forms, allowing each print to reflect both the structure of the plant and the hand of the maker. Through guided exploration, participants will build a collection of prints while learning how to compose botanical arrangements, create contrast, and layer imagery. The focus is on experimentation and discovery, making this workshop accessible to beginners while still engaging for experienced artists. Participants will leave with a series of botanical prints that can be framed, used in collage, or incorporated into future creative projects. Available for: Adults and teens (ages 14+) of all skill levels. No prior experience is required. All Materials Provided. Optional: bring small plant materials or foliage they would like to experiment with.
