About this Event
Botanical Painted Paper Collage Workshop: Texas Natives
Have you always felt like you weren’t quite born with the art gene?
Do you long to create charming wall art to brighten up your home or give as thoughtful gifts to friends and family?
Painted paper collaging is a fun, easy, and budget-friendly way for beginners to make painterly artwork. You only need a few supplies: paper, acrylic paint, glue, scissors, and most importantly, a playful attitude!
Collaged pieces can be transformed into postcards, greeting cards, beautiful art displays, or even stickers!
We invite you to join us on Saturday, May 30 from 10am - 12pm for our very first Botanical Painted Paper Collage Workshop: Texas Natives.
Presented by Bastropical, this paid workshop includes all the materials you’ll need to create a stunning collage from start to finish:
• Pre-painted papers
• Glue stick
• Bristol board
• Parchment paper
• (1) Texas native botanical illustration to build your art piece
Plus, you’ll have access to scissors, paint markers, colored pencils, and wipes (it can get a little sticky!).
- Workshop Schedule:
Brief intro on the method and inspiration (10 mins)
Materials overview and demo (15 mins)
Step-by-step instructions (30 mins)
Hands-on workshop time (1 hour)
For an extra fee, you can also get themed kits and frames to take your finished art home ready to hang!
When: 10 am – 12 pm on Saturday, May 30
Cost: $30 per person (Registration opens on Monday, May 11)
Please note: this is for adults only (we’ll be working with sharp scissors, so no kiddos this time).
Limited to 10 attendees to provide individualized instruction.
