Botanical and Wildlife inspired Lino Print Workshop
About this Event
Join printmaker Sophie Innes for a relaxing and creative 4 hour Lino printing workshop. You'll be inspired by botanical imagery and guided to create your own uniquebotanical lino print.
This is a fantastic workshop to learn lino printing techniques, based at the Footprint Gallery Jackfield, where you'll be creating a design based on the abundant botanical treasures found in the Ironbridge Gorge.
Whether you're a beginner or want to refresh your skills, or just want spend a creative afternoon in the company of like minded people, we'd love to see you there.
Suitable for 16 + years.
The Workshop includes:
Learning about the differences between available Lino blocks, cutting tools and printing inks.
Experimenting with Lino cutting techniques
Learning about composition and positive/negative space
Designing and cutting your image
Editing work through tester prints
Print using both a baron and printer
All materials and equipment supplied
Spaces are limited. Apply early to avoid disappointment.
It is advised, at the current time, to bring refreshments with you. At the time of publishing, we are awaiting confirmation whether the Peacock Cafe at the Jackfield Tile Museum will be open or a refreshment cart will be supplied in the courtyard.
