To keep the event calm and enjoyable, participants should be able to sit quietly and follow along. Recommended age 11+ (exceptions by prior agreement). Under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The Meeting
Atmosphere: This is a laid-back folding meeting in a formal room with a grand piano where everyone can contribute and participate. Please note that the BOS Code of conduct and Safeguarding policies apply at all times: https://www.britishorigami.org/the-society/public-information/.

Activities: We usually have a couple of models ready to teach, plus a number of diagrams for people to try out on their own or with help.
Sharing: Please do share your experience of origami and see if you could teach a model that you know.
Membership

Accessing the Site
Walk down Bootham, just beyond Wandesford House and Photographic Lane. The front door will be open between 13:40 – 13:50, and signs will direct you to the Recital Room on the first floor.
Food and Drink
Please bring your own drink in a suitable container to enjoy during the event with care for the other participants, room and furniture.
Note: This is a nut-free environment. We ask that no food or drink be brought in without prior notice in case of severe allergies. Thank you for your support with this!
Housekeeping
Arrival: Please arrive between 1:40 PM and 1:45 PM. After 1:50 PM, the door will be closed and the workshop will begin.
Note: There is no doorbell for the Recital Room (the existing bell is for private flats).
Schedule: We expect to finish by 4:30 PM at the latest, though there will be informal breaks throughout. You are welcome to leave earlier if needed. Fire regulations will be explained before we begin.
Tickets and Spaces
This is a small event with limited space. If your plans change, please update your booking or get in touch to return your ticket. This allows someone else to attend and helps us provide the right amount of refreshments without waste. We aim to keep the monthly Saturday folding sessions free.
