AdvertisementBorrowed Time is a comedy showcase featuring a mix of improv and stand-up. Each show features a different acts not produced by Crossroads, so it’s a chance to see some stuff you might not otherwise get to see. Tonight features improv teams Hoffman and Smoke Break and Stand-up from Keane Cobb!
ABOUT KEANE COBB: Keane Cobb (he/him) is an actor, improviser, standup comedian and writer from Philly. Keane has hosted at the Albany Funny Bone, Helium and Punchline Comedy Clubs. Keane performs with the Crossroads Comedy Theater show Study Hall: Comedy Inspired By Lectures as well as the podcasts In My Opinion: The Good Fight Podcast and Lockin' Up: A Black Pro-Wrestling Podcast. Keane is also a member of the all POC comedy troupe NYTEShift and the comedic trio known as Black History Monthly, as well as a co-host of the podcast Alt-Black.
ABOUT HOFFMAN: Hoffman is a veteran Philly Improv Theater improv team with a penchant for playing big characters and sharing yarns both truthful and delightfully absurd. The cast includes Kayleigh Liggitt, Andrew Sigwart, Whitney Rumble, Jacob Todd, Peter Szekeres, and Sean Keegan-Landis – improvisers who have been getting weird with each other for more than half a decade. So they’re pretty comfortable making each other look silly, dumb, and pleasantly outlandish for your enjoyment.
ABOUT SMOKE BREAK: Smoke Break is an improvised work place sitcom following the adventures of the eight employees. It was created in Spring 2020 as a monthly online show and has been running ever since. Currently on their fourth season the cast uses their characters' existing relationships to create bizarre plots. In previous episodes they have discovered secret family trees, survived exploding cockroaches, and accidentally summoned La Llorona.
COVID GUIDELINES: All audience members will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination using their CDC vaccination card or a photo of it on their portable device. All audience members and audience facing staff will be required to wear a mask while in the building. All performers will be fully vaccinated, will be performing without a mask, and will be at least 10 feet from the closest audience members. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building. If the CDC and/or the city of Philadelphia eases or tightens guidelines, those changes will be considered before being implemented.
