Borough Ball is a late-night mixed ballroom social for collegiate and post-collegiate dancers, hosted by the Five Borough Ballroom post-collegiate community of NYC.
We prioritize a safe, consensual environment for dancers and require agreement to community guidelines at the door for entry.
For our January Borough Ball, we're welcoming the new year with some very exciting news 🎉🎊
For the first time ever, we'll be offering a workshop before the social! At 8:30pm, Galen and Bella from Swingiversity will be teaching a West Coast Swing crash course for ballroom dancers. If you've ever been interested in WCS but felt like a beginner class would be too slow but a more advanced class would be too difficult, this is the perfect opportunity to try it! 🕺💃
We are also proud to be sponsoring BADC and supporting this local competition in two ways 💙 We will be donating our net proceeds from January to help fund the comp, and also offering free admission to Borough Ball for non-competitors who volunteer or offer housing!
Location: Danznik Studios, 240 W 37th St 2nd Floor
8:30-9pm: WCS crash course for ballroom dancers with Swingiversity (Main ballroom) - free with Borough Ball admission
9-9:30pm: WCS mixer with Swingiversity open practice (Studio 1) - free with Borough Ball or Swingiversity open practice admission
9pm-1am: Our regular programming - social dancing (Main ballroom)
Short break at 11pm for announcements and birthday dance!
Admission:
$25 General entry if purchased before the day of the social (Danznik members get 20% off)
$15 College student if purchased before the day of the social (with valid student ID that clearly shows you are currently enrolled)
❗️REMEMBER ticket prices will increase by $5 on the day of the social❗️

❗️To receive the student discount, please make sure to bring a valid student ID that clearly shows you are currently enrolled. Danznik will not accept student IDs that do not show current enrollment.❗️
