It answers the questions you always had.
Grounded in the true functional anatomy of human body we will explore the science of movement. You will learn how to see the human body and its movement in new and exciting ways that open your eyes to the huge potential within movement therapy.
This class is based on functional, evolutionary and comparative anatomy, not clinical anatomy. It is not another exploration of new trends that have not been proven, it is not based in clinical anatomy that has little relevance to real-life movement, nor is it just another set of exercises for you to copy.
The class is designed for independent thinkers who want to explore and understand, really understand the science of movement.
The use of positioning for safety
The clear language for movement using movement direction, joint descriptors, and bone descriptors
The forces involved with movement - muscle, fascia, momentum, reaction forces, gravity
Understanding the distal actions of muscles around the body and how to direct and control them
How to put all of the theory into practice and bring it together in a way that makes sense - this training will marry biotensegrity and the language of biomechanics without resorting to ill-defined, non-functional jargon.
At the end of this weekend you will be able to see the reality of 4D anatomy of movement and create new exercise or adapt old ones according to the needs of your clients.
You will break free from the dependence on repertoire - you will UNDERSTAND MOVEMENT
