Born on the Bayou - A Mardi Gras Dinner & Cocktail Pairing!

Wintertime comes but every year, and we're bored of it already. So we're taking you on a little winter vacay to warm you up! We figured a good ol' fashioned Bayou dinner should have you feeling toasty in no time. So pack your bags, folks. We're goin' to NOLA! Just in time for Mardi Gras too. Mind you, we'll be seated in West Village Detroit, but we'll be eating & drinking like we're in the heart of the party.

Join us for a one nightly only Mardi Gras Bayou Dinner & Cocktail Pairing. We'll serve you 4 delicious courses paired with classic New Orleans cocktails. Fun, funky, boozy and a little wild (hey that's us!). This one is not to be missed.

~Gulf Shrimp Po' Boy: Hillside Bakery sourdough, tomato jam, pickled cabbage, remoulade

~Smokey MI Rabbit Gumbo: okra, trinity, puffed grains

~Andouille Sausage: skillet cornbread, red beans & rice, maque choux, table fixins'

~Beignets: MI berry jam, powdered sugar, candied kumquat

~Mini King Cakes

~Sazerac: The quintessential New Orleans cocktail. The Sazerac is the cuter, playful cousin to the classic Old Fashioned. Soft and yet somehow still bold, the Sazerac boasts a great florality, soft notes of fruit and spice from the rye.

~Absinthe Frappe: Herbaceous and easy drinking, this cocktail features the once outlawed spirit, Absinthe. An explosion of anise, fennel and wormwood, this one goes down smooth and leaves a lasting finish on the palate.

~ Pimm's Cup: While this refreshing elixir originated in London, it has been adopted by the locals of New Orleans since the early 1900s. A perfect pairing for a hot summer day on the bayou, or if you're us.. a cold winter's day in hell.
