Border Angels Fundraiser

Thrift for a cause on Friday, March 20th, during Thrifting After Dark: a Border Angels Fundraiser hosted by Honest Thrift Studio. 100% of our profits from this event will be donated to Border Angels programs!

We are proud to partner with Border Angels, a local nonprofit organization that provides life-saving humanitarian aid along the entire U.S.-Mexico border.

Some of Border Angels’ programs include conducting life-saving water drops in the desert, supporting migrant shelters in Tijuana, reaching out to day laborers with resources and advocacy, and helping free asylum seekers from detention. They also assist with funeral and transportation expenses for migrants who have tragically died during their journey, helping their families bring them home with dignity. Additionally, they lead educational programs and community presentations to raise awareness about immigration and human rights.

Honest Thrift will be fully stocked with plants, treasures, and $4 clothes. We will have a craft table outside, as well as complimentary snacks and drinks! All ages are welcome. There is a $5 minimum RSVP fee for this event to cover our cost of operating. $5 is the minimum, but if you love what we’re doing and would like to support our efforts to engage in more mutual aid, you can also purchase a ticket at $10 or $15. This will ensure we can host this fundraiser without being in deficit!

Hosting events for mutual aid and community benefit has been one of our highest-priority goals since our first days at Honest Thrift. We have always felt that this space is best used as a conduit for community and positive action. We are so thankful to each person in this community who has supported us and our shop when we needed it most. We are feeling very fortunate to be in a position where we can now do our part to support our neighbors in need. We are committed to full transparency, and when the fundraiser is completed and the donation made, we will post the donation amount- the funds YOU will have raised in support of Border Angels and their commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of migrants.
