Boots on the Ground

For more than three decades, Boots on the Ground has been one of our community's most meaningful traditions. Since the 1990s, VFW Post 1273 has worked to ensure that our most vulnerable brothers and sisters in arms—and their families—have access to the basic necessities many of us take for granted.
This is more than a giveaway. It's about dignity, respect, and taking care of those who once answered the call to serve.
Every veteran, service member, and family who attends will be paired with a personal shopper who will help them find the items they need most. We want every guest to leave with clothing and essentials that fit their unique situation—not just a bag of random items.
Available items include: • Men's clothing
• Women's clothing
• Children's clothing
• Cold-weather gear
• Coats and jackets
• Boots and shoes
• Undergarments
• Hygiene products
• And much more
A quick heads-up: our large shopping bags are always among the first items to disappear. Don't worry—we'll have large trash bags available to help you carry your items home.
And because nobody should leave hungry, we'll be serving a hot meal that will stick to your ribs and warm your soul.
Everything is completely FREE. No cost. No catch. No judgment.
Veterans, military members, and their families are welcome from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Any remaining items will be opened to the general public from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
