About this Event

Join us for an afternoon all about brain health and healthy aging, presented by Baycrest. Take part in an interactive panel discussion and live demonstrations all about brain health. Explore the latest research about modifiable risk factors for dementia, tools to promote healthy aging, and what to expect after a dementia diagnosis, including innovations in caregiving.

SCHEDULE:

1 pm: Doors open.

1:30 to 3 pm: Public panel discussion and Q&A with:

  • Dr. Nicole Anderson, Associate Scientific Director of Baycrest’s Kimel Family Centre for Brain Health and Wellness, and Senior Scientist at Baycrest’s Rotman Research Institute
  • Peter Clutterbuck, co-lead of the Seniors Work Group, Oakwood Vaughan Community Organization
  • Dr. Rosanna Olsen (moderator), Senior Scientist at Baycrest’s Rotman Research Institute
  • Dr. Tarek Rajji, Senior Scientist and Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)
  • Dr. Adriana Shnall, Program Director of Baycrest’s Koschitzky Centre for Innovations in Caregiving

3:00 to 4:30 pm: Have a snack, browse interactive booths focusing on different aspects of healthy aging, take home resources and watch demonstrations of cutting-edge research projects at Baycrest.

Light refreshments will be provided.
