BOOMBOX is back [SAT.11/2] with globe-trotting DJ legend DJ BABU [Dilated Peoples/Beat Junkies] + the Boombox debuts of the multi-talented ILLIJAHBEATS + edit king VICTAMONE!!
For as long as we can remember, DJ BABU has been a hero to the hip hop DJ community. the originator of the term "Turntablist", he's won multiple DJ championships (ITF + Vestax), toured the world with his group Dilated Peoples, and influenced an entire generation of DJs with his pioneering work as a member of the World Famous Beat Junkies, not to mention helping found the Beat Junkie Institute Of Sound where he's "Building Better DJs" every single day via his courses and instruction at their institute in Glendale, CA. We don't throw around the term "legend" loosely, but when the history books of hip hop DJing are written, the name BABU will be carved in stone!
Joining the legend on our decks we've got first-time callers ILLIJAHBEATS + VICTAMONE! There's seemingly nothing our brother ILLIJAHBEATS can't do. best known for his production work and finger-drumming prowess, he's an accomplished DJ, vocalist, and rapper to boot! We can't wait to see what he drops on us in his Boombox debut. Orignally from Alaska, VICTAMONE has earned high praise for his impeccable edit work and searing DJ sets. His "Selectors Choice" edit series has been a secret weapon for forward-thinking DJs across the globe for years. With so many styles under his belt, we have no idea what he's going to play in his Boombox debut, and we LOVE THAT!

Since September 2nd, 2006, Boombox has provided a home for Los Angeles hip hop lovers to gather every first Saturday of the month and celebrate the genre’s most respected DJs and producers.
