Hosted and curated by myself, (Alex Hernandez), past time Resident djs included Rich Soto, Mike Colossal and Pumatron. Known for its high energy vibe and sound, and high power light show and (maybe too much) fog, nostalgia was the theme and people definitely felt those memories come alive again on the dancefloor. Boombox had to say goodbye after the February 2020 event due to Covid-19 but alas... Like the Phoenix, we are rebuilding yet again from the ashes! Boombox quickly outgrew the last venue and after many over-stuffed nights at the cafe, we had to say our final goodbye..... Again. DOH! Present: I feel that after a 2.5 year break, it’s time to party again with familiar faces and respected local djs! I am continuing Boombox’s theme of high energy music this year. ENERGY! Positive and healing vibes through exciting music and dance. Not to mention the LIGHT SHOW! Future: Looks like Boombox is here to stay... again! * I HOPE! * Boombox is transitioning from the monthly format to the quarterly/seasonal format... I will be featuring Sacramento based talent from old school legends to the new, up and coming DJs emerging from our scene. If there’s one thing about Boombox, it’s that we party hard, so prepare yourselves for what’s to come... #GearUp
