BOOMBOX is back [SAT.7/4] with a special "4TH OF JULY VINYL EDITION" featuring MOTOWN ON MONDAYS and MILK CRATE MONDAYS!! Members of 2 of our favorite Los Angeles crews are coming through to help celebrate the long weekend with a heavy evening of B2B vinyl goodness!

One of the longest running events in the city, MOTOWN ON MONDAYS has been a staple of Los Angeles nightlife for damn near 15 years! With an absolutely star-studded lineup of residents, they've turned longtime Echo Park watering hole, The Short Stop, into an epicenter of soul music. Every Monday Angelenos and visitors alike know that if you want to dance to expertly mixed Motown classics, remixes, covers, and more, MOM is the place to be! We welcome OGs PHATRICK + DJ JEDI + MONALISA to our turntables for this special vinyl extravaganza and we're hyped to hear their take on what we do...hip hop, beats, breaks, and beyond!

Proof that Los Angeles is truly spoiled on Mondays, a mile and a half from MOM the MILK CRATE MONDAYS crew have been holding down one of the dopest all vinyl nights in the city for 8+ years! Helmed by the mighty DP Sound massive, they've got Melody Lounge in Chinatown bumping every Monday with eclectic DJ sets, record dealers, and much more. They've even started putting out their own records with SEVEN remix/edit 45s released in the past 3 years alone! We can't wait to welcome vinyl killers PHERSONE + JOELSKEE + SANCHEZ to our decks for this special event!

Since September 2nd, 2006, Boombox has provided a home for Los Angeles hip hop lovers to gather every first Saturday of the month and celebrate the genre’s most respected DJs and producers. Celebrating their 15-year anniversary in 2021, they’ve gained a faithful following of music aficionados who all share one common trait: the love of hip hop culture.

Residents Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Mantron have created a signature sound and energy that is authentic, inclusive, and fiercely committed to promoting the culture and artistry of hip hop.
