Join us for a special musical evening with modern-folk duo Friction Farm at Books on Third!

Husband-and-wife troubadours Aidan Quinn (Berkeley, CA) and Christine Stay (Woodstock, NY) blend storytelling, harmony, and humor into songs inspired by everyday life, local heroes, and quirky observations. With roots in two of America’s most iconic music towns, it was inevitable they would take their songs on the road.

Friction Farm are Kerrville New Folk Finalists, Falcon Ridge Emerging Artists, South Florida Folk Fest Songwriter winners, and their latest album reached #3 on the Folk DJ Chart.

For this special appearance, Friction Farm will perform original songs and share how different books inspired each piece. While the songs are not necessarily about the books, the ever-changing reading list acts as a creative spark—sometimes directly, sometimes through a winding path that connects literature, real-life events, and imagination.

This interactive program is geared towards all ages. Audience participation is encouraged, including questions and book suggestions.
