This month Books Chai & More the Raah Book Club will be discussing the book In their Own Words: Understanding Lashkar-e-Tayyaba by Christine Fair.
On November 26th 2008 Mumbai was under attack for four days. The perpetrator: A Pakistani organization called Lashkar-e-Tayyaba. What is LeT? How does it work? Why does it enjoy strong support? Using the books magazines music and visuals put out by the group as part of its recruitment drives Christine Fair gives a detailed account.
The book discussion will be led by Sameer Joshi an artist & a poet. He is a Professor of English with the University of Maryland US.
