BOOKS AT THE MANSION
Spend a Saturday surrounded by books, local authors, and people who understand that buying another book is entirely reasonable - even if the stack beside your bed is becoming structurally concerning.
Books at the Mansion includes two separate experiences: an all-ages Book Fair during the day and an adults-only Mini Reading Retreat in the afternoon. Attend one or make a full day of it.

10:00 AM–2:00 PM
All ages
$5 admission
Browse books from local authors and bookstores while exploring the grounds of historic Kirks Mansion. Shopping vendors will also be joining us, and food trucks will be available throughout the Book Fair.
Your $5 ticket includes admission to the Book Fair. Books, merchandise, food, and drinks will be available for purchase separately.
Participating authors, bookstores, vendors, and any scheduled signings or activities will be announced as the event gets closer.
MINI READING RETREAT
3:00–7:00 PM
Adults only, ages 18 and older
$70 per person
Once the Book Fair wraps up, the Mansion will settle into something a little quieter.
Bring the book you have been meaning to finish - or the new one you just bought - and spend the afternoon reading without errands, laundry, notifications, or someone asking where they left something that is directly in front of them.
The Mini Reading Retreat will include:
• Dedicated reading time at Kirks Mansion
• A relaxed creative activity
• All crafting materials
• Snacks and drinks
• Admission to the morning Book Fair
Come alone and enjoy the quiet, or bring a friend who understands that spending time together while silently reading absolutely counts as socializing.
