Celebrate the WA Tree Festival at this workshop where you will learn about the beautiful art of paper making and hear about traditional and contemporary paper-making techniques including how you can make your own paper-making tray from repurposed materials.
Experience a hands-on approach to creating your own paper, including adding decorative seeds. We will explore the inclusion of seeds into paper for planting purposes, where you can find further information and how you can explore seed inclusions for planting purposes.
Explore the craft of creating beautiful paper for different purposes, like handmade gifts, framing, making envelopes, bookmarks, and other creative projects. You can also use it to write heartfelt letters with a personal touch

Everything is supplied, and no experience is needed... wear art clothing and bring 2 pairs of disposable gloves as paper making is messy fun!

This workshop is being delivered from a sustainability-focused creative waste-reduction perspective and includes a presentation and discussions on repurposing otherwise waste paper/scraps, and adding seeds as inclusions to decorate our paper.

Please note that you will be taking home your damp paper project on a card tray so it is best to bring a towel or scrap fabric to protect your car seats.

A program will only be cancelled if there are insufficient enrolments received one day prior to the event or due to factors beyond the City’s control. No individual refunds or credits will be given for general non-attendance.
