An opportunity to learn how to make and bind beautiful harakeke books with a master paper maker- Mark Lander.
About this Event

Mark is an accomplished artist and bookbinder-and will show you how to make your own book from harakeke paper.If you also sign up for the 15th October workshop you can learn how to make and prepare your paper for the book.These are beautiful gifts for wedding, birthday or birthing memories, memorial books for a loved one, and you can design your own cover.

Mark has had over 40 years paper making experience, and has shipped little critter machines all over the world.Mark originally graduated from Ilam School of Fine Arts, and is now an accomplished painter, potter,musician, inventor and engineer. More recently he has focused on refining and developing inventions to process harakeke for paper making.

Te Atawhai Aroha Compassionate Communities Rotorua is proud to sponsor Mark and the kete of equipment for a complete harakeke paper mill, which will then belong to our community for future workshops.
