Book Talk: Loretta Spencer, A Candid Memoir

The Snail on the Wall bookstore is delighted to host Huntsville's first woman mayor, Loretta Spencer, whose new memoir recounts her rise in politics, the campaigns, the deals, and the accomplishments that helped Huntsville grow into Alabama's biggest city today.

The event will be at The Snail on the Wall bookstore. The event is free, but reservations are required. Books will be available for purchase.

About Loretta Spencer:
Loretta Spencer grew up passionate for helping others. Her volunteer work and support of local causes grew into a deep devotion to the city of Huntsville. She went on to serve three terms as the city's first woman mayor. In this candid memoir, Loretta shares original photos, clippings, letters, notes from notables, and much more as she tells her personal stories and chronicles this important era of women's history.
