We want to celebrate Ron Boozer on his book, Sacred Dust Connecting Us, with a book signing on Saturday, October 18, at 2 pm. The book is available in the store. We look forward to seeing you at this free event.

Synopsis:
Sacred Dust Connecting Us explores universal faith questions and challenges thoughtful introspection. Its colorful poignant imagery draws inspiration from scripture, poetry, song lyrics, social issues, and art throughout history. Appropriately its medium of “pastel on a chalkboard” is a metaphor for life’s impermanent and transitory nature: each luminous drawing offered as a prayer then erased and replaced. In the process the aspiration is that, with wonder and humility, we enhance connection to ourselves, our community and to our spiritual search for the divine.

Author Bio:
Ron holds degrees from Furman University and Clemson University in art and architecture. During his architectural career he has collaborated on the design of multiple projects across the country, including children’s hospitals, cancer centers, and hospices.
His spiritual journey was inspired by his mother’s strong faith and compassion for others, eventually leading him on a path that explores art as a means to enrich and activate spiritual thought. Beyond his chalk prayer drawings, he works in a variety of media including ink, watercolor and acrylics. To support his love of drawing, he has a sketchbook with him at all times. In addition, he provided book illustrations for "The Bell Tower and Beyond" by David E Shi, President Emeritus & Professor of History, Furman University.
Ron has lived in Charlotte for over thirty five years with his wife, Sandra. They have one daughter, Anslee, and one for-life Italian foreign exchange student daughter, Ester.
