Prolific, prize-winning La Crosse author David Joseph Marcou has surpassed his 300th book-title total, including his Spirit of America series thusfar. SA215 was his 300th book-title overall; SA216 is a re-issue of his award-winning SA1, originally published soon after pivotal 9-11-01's events, comprising 115+ co-creators' works led by Marcou, "Spirit of America: Heartland Voices, World Views Revisited" (SA1/SA216 has a new cover; & same, classic interior).
Among Marcou's new books will be SA222: Daylight NYC Sights, Including "Singing Bicycle Boy," April 9, 2011; SA223: 350th Anniversary, Heart & Soul (1673's Upper Mississippi River Canoe Expedition of Marcou-Ancestor Louis Joliet & Fr. Marquette--First Documented Caucasian-Led North American Corps of Discovery, 130 Years Before Lewis & Clark); SA224: "Orwell's Dilemma: Finding-Expressing Truths & Beauty in an Often Tough World" (with US west-coast photos by family members of Marcou's Irish co-author, Paul Curran, plus dozens of Marcou photos from March's Viterbo U./Peter Feigl holocaust survivor event at historic Wheeler House, La Crosse); and SA225: "The People's Champions: Dorothea Lange & Gordon Parks, Revisited". SA225 will be Marcou's 310th book-title so far, & counting. The La Crosse-based author-photographer also has had a long freelance journalism career, via many top US & world outlets, with two Pulitzer-nominations for works by him so far as well.
