Book signing: Silverlink by Simon Wheatley

Leica Gallery London is pleased to host this book signing event with London-based photographer, Simon Wheatley. The series Silverlink was initially envisaged as a documentation of the social polarisation of neighbourhoods along The North London Line, which then became Silverlink under the privatisation of the railways.

The images captured between 1998-2010 are taken using Kodachrome film - which became largely extinct in 2010 hence the ending of the series. These images are an intimate portrayal of London communities spanning from East to West across the city.

The book accompanies Wheatley's exhibition of the same name featuring 21 photographs - all printed and exhibited for the first time, running until the 21 July.
