The series begins with The Sasquatch of Hawthorne Elementary with 6th grade student, Jake Nelson. He's sure that a huge, mysterious creature is hiding out in the woods near his new home. He and his mom recently moved from Florida to live with his grandfather in Washington State, dashing any hopes he had of ever meeting his equally-mysterious father. Starting sixth grade at his new school hasn’t been easy, either. When word gets out that Jake is a Sasquatch hunter, will he be mercilessly teased like he was at his old school? Or will his new friends Jasmine and Lanny help him track down an elusive Bigfoot that might be living in the local park?

When Kate B. Jackson (K.B. Jackson) isn't writing about Sasquatch, secrets, and murder, she enjoys unearthing family scandals under the guise of ancestry research. A two-time Agatha Award winner, three-time Anthony Award finalist, and two-time Silver Falchion Award nominated author of mysteries for kids and grownups, she lives in the Pacific Northwest with her trophy husband and enjoys traveling with their four grown children. She writes the Sasquatch Hunters Middle Grade series (inspired by her youngest son’s fascination with cryptids), the Chattertowne Secrets mysteries, and the Cruising Sisters mysteries.
